Travel to the mountains of beautiful North Carolina for a train ride aboard the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. The train crosses the Tuckasegee River and then climbs along 100 feet above the water, soon you pass the Little Tennessee River on the left and follow the Nantahala River into the Gorge, crossing the Appalachian Trail. Beautiful fall colors in the mountains.
